Hain's Mini Munchies rice snacks

Hi all -

Hain has replaced their mini rice cakes with mini munchies rice snacks. I

called them to be sure they were still GFCF and they confirmed that the plain

and apple cinnamon are. I am noting, however, a gluten reaction in my son

that I cannot trace to any other source. The ingredient list differs from

the old cakes in that it has calcium carbonate, malic acid, and annato (for

color). I'm wondering if the calcium could be causing problems - we have had

rashiness from the kirkman calcium powder. . .has anyone else out there has a

reaction to these cakes (by the way, the larger rice cakes will continue to

be made the old way).

It would be helpful to copy me personally on your posting sicne I have a hard

time keeping up with the digest. Thanks.

My daughter has trouble with malic acid. Was that in the original? (Her

reaction is a rash)
