Guest guest
, that's wonderful. It's nice to have some piece of mind. michelle andyandsamanthamom@...> wrote: Hello everyone, just wanted to let you all know that we made it home safe and sound. We had no problems at all w/ the roads or the weather. we got home yesterday at about 5:00 a.m. Well is on her last ste of casts and she is doing ok. Boy this last set of casts she looks as if her feet are almost backwards! Looks painful to me but she seems to be ok with them. She just is not crawling again and I am not sure if it is because we have wooden floors or because of the position of the casts? I hope it is nothing to worry about. She will be in the casts for 2-3 weeks Dr. Ponseti said. was not a good girl for the last casting, it took 4 people to hold her down to cast. She did whatever she could to try to get free! Bite, scratch, scream, pull the nurse's hair, kick Dr.Ponseti with her free leg, you name it! They could not believe how strong she was! She cried through the whole casting! Dr. Ponseti and the nurses just laughed. The good thing is that she did not have to get another heel cord release. When we were there we got to meet his wife and his son that was visiting which was nice. His wife is really sweet. Im so glad we made the decision to go. Everything turned out just perfect! We are hoping she will begin to walk pretty soon, Dr. Ponseti said she was ready to walk the problem was that her feet were not corrected. We also got her shoes which she will wear 23/7 for a month then 18hrs then nightime and naps. So we could not have asked for a better outcome. When her 2nd set of casts were removed her feet looked so much better, we had never seen her feet look that good! So we could not have asked for a better way to end the year! I look forward to hearing those tiny perfect feet running around!!! and BL CF 12/16/
