Starbursts Skittles Jolly Rancher candies, lollipops, and jelly beans Jelly Belly gourmet jelly beans Charms Blow Pops Willy Wonka Nerds, Tart n' Tiny's, pixi stix and any of their hard candies (nothing chewy) Tropical Source chocolate bars Marshmallow peeps Necco candy wafers I can't think of any more but there are some great companies out there like the Chocloate Emporium who make special chocolates to go along with the holidays too. Guest guest
I called Charms Co. and they told me that they were o.k. and sent me list of their other products that were o.k. as well (2 weeks ago) and I called the Jelly Belly Co. about a month and a half ago and they said they were all gluten free and that they were starting to not use milk in any of their jelly beans as well due to the high sensitivities to it. She named about 4 jelly beans that did use milk at the time and if I remember correctly they were choc. pudding, pina colada, hazelnut, and hot chocolate. The rest were fine. Guest guest
Has this list been verified? The last I checked Charms Blow Pops were not GFCF due to the gum inside. Same with Jelly Bellys, the last time I verified, not ALL Jelly Belly gourmet jelly beans were GFCF, only a few. For this reason, we avoid them altogether. Sometimes, it takes only a minute amount of gluten or casein to keep a child from progressing. I have talked with too many parents that are considering giving up the diet because it is not working, only to find out the child is not really 100% GFCF. There is a complete candy list on GFCFdiet.com go to the site map and look under Candy. Guest guest
Every item that is on that list I verified myself otherwise I would not have posted it. I called the Charms company about two weeks ago and they said that the Blow Pops were safe and I called the Jelly Belly Co. about a month ago and they said at the present time all their jelly beans were free of gluten and that within the next week they were not shipping out anymore jelly beans with any milk because of all the allergies that are out there. There were only a few that even had milk products in them (hazelnut, chocolate pudding, and one other) all the others are fine. As far as the list goes I check everything before I even dare put it on this list because of this kind of reaction. I always verify first. Jelly Belly needs to get the work out to their employees. I was in their store in Vacaville, CA just 2 weeks ago. The young employees had not clue what I was talking about. And the Manager seemed to think they all had gluten. I didn't buy any of course. & Garry, parents of (10 ds), (9 ds), JJ (7 ds/autism/celiac), (6 ds/ADHD/Celiac), and Esther (4 ds). All adopted. Guest guest
Thanks for verifying these! If anyone has a product they verify, it helps us tremendously if you send an e-mail to Judy DeHart (editor of GFCFdiet.com.) just to let us know if the food is GFCF or no longer GFCF. It saves us from having to call and recall food companies that you may have already just called. It also helps expand the acceptable list of foods for all parents.
