I have also read that they are okay. You might consider buying some pareve

chocolate or other types of candy. There are many available this time of

year as Passover is coming up.

So many manufactured products are thought to be okay and then suddenly they

are cross contaminated or not okay anymore. It is hard to keep up. I

thought I was doing the right thing by using Perky's Nutty Rice cereal to

make crispy treats b/c it was mentioned by name in ' book and also

Karyn's book. Then I find out from this list it is not okay. It is very

frustrating, isn't it? How can we truly be 100% gluten free if we are using

anything but fresh food? ::sigh::

I think for the next time I will have some Pareve chocolate or candy on hand

to take with us. I know it's very hard to keep up and I usually don't give

them a lot of candy or chocolate but this was a special thing and didn't want

them left out.

It was even harder than I thought. Even though I brought some Organic Popcorn

for them to have their Grandma and Grandpa (who went with us) got them some

buttery popcorn there at the theater UGH! And of course they did have the

butter on their fingers and dealt with the boys too. As we were walking out

of the movies I noticed 's face was the splotchy. I showed my Mom his

face and she said she didn't give him any of her popcorn, but I told her even

if she had just a trace on her fingers and then helped with his food

it could make this big of a difference and he would definitely react this

way. I think for the first time since starting this diet she really sees it

and hopefully from now on will be more careful.

BTW The boys still had a GREAT time at the movies. :)
