Send Some Love to the " Wrong Planet! "

Editorial

One of the more colorful and resource-packed autism links website is

the one created by Janet " jypsy " Norman-Bain Ooops. Wrong Planet! Syndrome

http://www.isn.net/~jypsy/. She started and maintains this amazing site

while raising of two autistic children and being autistic herself. Despite

also having Multiple Sclerosis, she had prescience in 1995 to start her

website compilation of autism-related resources so that she could share

them, along with her " understanding and years of experience with others " -

at a time when there wasn't much else like it for autism on the Internet.

Today she is co-hosting an International Symposium on autism in April

to continue her good works even further. Yet her husband, the family's sole

source of income, was recently laid off and she now reports that her family

is back on social services/welfare.

" While I fight politicians, service organizations and whoever here for

monies and services for my 2 sons on the spectrum on a DAILY basis YEAR

AFTER YEAR, (13 now) and now [for] myself [as my] MS has taken most of my

sight daily, my balance, [and with] my Epilepsy (3 kinds of seizures) and

[causing] crushing fatigue while turning my brain into a sieve. "

If you have ever had dropped by her website in the past, you would

know how much love and effort she has put into it. Now is a good time to

drop her a note to thank her for all she's done, or drop her a note just to

offer a kind word of encouragement. However you do it, send some love to

Janet jypsy@... . And if you're inclined to such things, a prayer for

her and her family wouldn't hurt either. -ls

I trust God, and He must trust me

To give me this overwhelming responsibility

It's frightening to see all the young damaged brains

They're paying for other's financial gains

Yes, somewhere, somehow there is a cause

Genetic epidemic? That theory has flaws

Genetics cause some to be more vulnerable than others

But it's something outside us that captures and smothers

Greed keeps us in the dark, keeping things the same

While our children are suffering

And we parents get the blame

Lord we pray for answers to guide us in our fight

Meanwhile, I'll cherish your blessing

My beautiful child of light
