Guest guest
My son woke up with red, swollen tonsils with white specks on them. He's never had strep before but that's what I think it is. My question is should I give him the one shot of penicillin or oral antibiotics? Which one is better if he does have strep? By the way, he did get an ear infection too and I've been treating it with Garlic Oil and his ear is fine. My other son and I have gotten ear infections too and they cleared up with the garlic oil too. Thanks so much for any advice on this matter. Guest guest
Since you are open to the use of alternatives, try having him gargle with hot salt water (as warm as he can tolerate). My eldest daughter gets tonsillitis and this always cures it. You need to gargle about every two hours ( while awake) till they're cleared up, it takes up to two days usually. BTW- her tonsils are red, swollen with white specks and it is tonsillitis. So your son might have tonsillitis. > My son woke up with red, swollen tonsils with white specks on them.
