My eight year old son definitely has a change in personality when he

plays on the computer or video games very long. I haven't noticed it

quite as bad with tv watching, but it does have a little effect on

him. I still don't really understand why, and he has never been

tested for seizures. He just becomes very irritable and disagreeable.

As for seizures, they are displayed in many ways depending on what

part of the brain is affected. Sometimes, when a person has

seizures, you may not see any visible signs (which may be what the

lady was referring to as silent seizures).

I notice that I can't get my son's attention if the TV is on. If he's

watching something and I ask him a question, then I have to turn off the

TV or get in his line of vision to get him to acknowledge that I've said

anything. He isn't too spacey once the TV is off or maybe just for a few

minutes afterwards. I think I'm going to be turning it off a lot more

now.
