Guest guest
In babies, diaper rash is often due to a yeast infection. Have you tried supplemental acidophilus, or eating two yogurts (make sure they are " live culture " ) each day? When I take the lactulose, I usually have relief of the confusion and dementia symptoms within about 4 hours, but it can take up to 12 hours. You might want to pay attention to whether you feel better several hours after taking the lactulose. Because the ammonia is being taken from your body to the (gross) watery stool, you should probably feel better before the " exit " (feel better before the diarrhea occurs). If you aren't getting (gross) diarrhea while on the lactulose, it won't be reducing your blood ammonia. But talk to your GI doctor about it, they can explain it better than me. Take care, RH > > > > > > New treatments for urea cycle disorders and high blood ammonia: > > > > > > http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/050218/185308_1.html > > > > > > Take care, > > > RH
