Both my boys were in the NICU. didn't actually come home from the hospital until he was 13 months old. stayed in there until he was 2 months old. How do you know if they have it or not? has always had diarrhea like poop, but Joshy was always constipated. Bridgett
Guest guest
how long did you give the uva ursa to your child and how much? Also, where did you buy the uva ursa. ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: GFCFKids To: GFCFKids > Subject: Bacteria in the Gut Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2001 21:14:14 -0800 Hi everyone, Well, Austin is finally potty-trained. The diareha has finally gone away!!! Even with an infraction (so far) he doesn't get the diareha like he did. Christmas day he ate a chocolate bar that didn't have any casien in the ingredients but was 'cross-contaminated.' He had 9 days of diareha! The uva ursa cleared up the klebsella in his gut. I am just so thrilled and wanted to share with everyone. I wonder how many of our kids have bacteria in their guts. Guest guest
Hi Bridgett, The doctor did a three day stool study and results came back with klebsella. I suspect the bacteria has been the source of his leaky gut. (Although, I wonder about the measles virus too) I looked into it and found that klebsella is often the cause of pneumonia. Austin never had any serious lung problems (except the usual premie problems). Austin weighs 35 lbs and I gave him one capsule of the Uva Ursa in some apple sauce. Since then, I have baked it into brownies and he hasn't been able to tell it's there. BTW, his NT brother ate the brownies also without any problem. Hope this helps you out. Let me know if you try it and what the results are.
