Guest guest
Hi , You REALLY, REALLY don't want to give her both capsules in the morning!! B6 has a pretty short period of action in the body, and dumping in twice as much at once would probably really bounce her off the walls during the morning. I would suggest trying the second one at 4:30 or as soon after as possible and see how she does. My son did fine taking it late in the day, and he took it for over 3 years. It never caused sleep problems in him, although I know it does in some. I could even give it to him AT BEDTIME and he slept fine. If it's too much for her to take a whole cap in the afternoon, another possibility is giving her a bigger dose in the morning and a smaller one in the afternoon. You could use the powder to this, or break open the caps and mix with something to give. Good luck, Terri At 12:09 PM 2/24/01 -0500, you wrote: >Thanks . >Another question then. Guest guest
Thanks . Another question then. Can I give her both capules in the morning? She goes to school and I work so it would be about 4:30 or 5:00 or even sometimes 5:30 before she would be able to take the 2nd one.
Guest guest
Thanks Terri. I'm going to try to give her one about 5:00 today since it is the weekend and see how she does? I appreciate the help.
Guest guest
Don't give the Nu-Thera after 3 PM, if you want to sleep at night. I give the extra magnesium at bedtime, as it helps them stay asleep. Guest guest
It is better to split the dose if you possibly can. If you are using the capsules, can you open one and add the powder to something in her lunch? I put 's in her pudding that I send for lunch every day. Guest guest
Terri and I would like to thank you for trying to help me. Just thought you might like to know how my night was last night after giving Meagan the second cap at around 5:00. She was in a really good mood. All the way up to about 3:00 am. I'm glad I tried it on the weekend because I don't think I could of made it through the day today if I had to get up at 6:00. I didn't give her any today. I am going to go back to one cap in the morning and try it in her lunch (thanks for the suggestion) next weekend and see how she does. She woke up at her usual time today. She didn't seem tired but my husband and I sure was. Thanks again for the help.
