Is costs about £5, and just hooks onto the seat belt and slides over. Just threatening my stepson with not being able to watch toy story, normally stops him from doing anything unwanted (such as undoing his sat belt, pulling the cats tail etc), but this is better because you cant drive along watching them in the rear view mirror can you? Also seen it in Sainsburys, and I think in mothercare.

Guest guest
both my peds have said, not until the child is walking. Obviously with a clubfoot baby its a bit different as mine is 15 months and still not walking. But I would wait as long as they are still sitting comfortably in the seat. But if they are too long and 20 pounds, I would probably switch them over. > > Well now that we are talking about car seats I have a question. When > can rear facing children go to forward facing? Guest guest
The ABSOLUTE minimum to turn a child forward facing is 20 lbs AND 1 year of age. However, they are not hurt by continuing rear facing longer than that. They normally aren't bothered by having their legs & feet a little scrunched up, most babies/kids pull their legs in anyway. I never heard that about walking, but I can see the thoughts behind it (control of neck/head/torso). Although I would agree that any child who is a late walker doesn't necessarily have to wait that long to turn forward facing in a car seat. Like I said before, I'm a car seat maniac--if I see a small baby forward facing, or WORSE STILL a baby not in a car seat it makes me CRAZY!!! , mommy of: Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 right CF DBB 23/7 > > > > Well now that we are talking about http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=11&k=car%20seats " onmouseover= " window.status='car seats'; return true; " onmouseout= " window.status=''; return true; " >car seats I have a question. Guest guest
They say not until the child is a year old regardless of weight. It has to do with the baby's spine, it is (not sure of the exact word thery used here) not developmentally ready untill after a year. & Grace > > Well now that we are talking about car seats I have a question. Guest guest
When I said regardless of weight, I meant even if baby is over 20 pds bbefore a year old. This is what our doc and staff at the hospital she was born in told us. > > > > Well now that we are talking about car seats I have a question. > When > > can rear facing children go to forward facing?
