Re: Was your child born with autism after you received an MMR boster?

I hope I don't mess up this name too much - I think it's something

like Dr. Yasbek who reported on a small sampling of mothers (9 I

think) who received the MMR during the 12 months preceding

conception. All but one had an autistic child. And that child had

autistic tendancies. His report was previously posted to this group -

I think by Margaret Cummings.

As it's medically accepted that measles can cause autism, I wonder

why some find it so hard to accept that measles (when injected) can

cause autism?

and others,

Recently we found out that my son has elevated titers for

measles. He is severely affected by autism and we are

looking for effective treatment.

Can you direct me to where I can find medical paper on

measles causing autism? This is not an established

knowledge in Japan yet. Any input from anyone will

be appreciated. thanks.

Hi Sunny,

This was just in the British press again recently, with the

government urging the MMR, pointing out that a complication of

measles is autism, therefore get your vax (huh?). Rubella is another

virus medically accepted as having the potential to cause autism. A

medical website would probably link you to a section on childhood

illnesses and possibile complications.

I need to do some major time on a search for some info this weekend.

I'll keep your request in mind and send you any links I find on

measles/autism.

Did either of your children have the Hep. B vaccine at birth? has

showed signs of autism since birth and she is the only child out of 5 here

that had the Hep. B vaccine at birth. So I am just curious.

My oldest child received it at birth and is fine. My middle child received

it at age 2 months and is autistic.

I'm pretty sure my son got the Hepatitis B shot at birth. The only

neurological problem that we noticed, however, was a protruding tongue.

I never thought a thing about it, but my mom noticed it and said we

should have a neurologist check him out, which we never did sorry to say.

Otherwise, he seemed to develop normally until he got his MMR at 12

months - started doing small things like head dragging, head banging, but

only minimally and those things disappeared quickly. He even got a few

words (maybe 4 or 5 words) and then at 18 months or so, all the words

disappeared. At 23 1/2 months, he started talking big time, but with

echoing and pronoun reversal and loss of eye contact. It's been

difficult unraveling what happened to him and when it happened. But I

don't like vaccines for anything anymore and would rather have him get

sick or do everything I can to bolster his immune system than vaccinate

him ever again. The same for his younger brother - no vaccines ever

again.
