Guest guest
Since I work at a nursing home I know that apraxia is also a common condition following a stroke. You might be able to reasearch dtrokes and find more information on the subject to give to his therapists. two unrelated causes but the end result is the same they snow what they want to sy but cant get the words out. very frustrating condition for anyone .Good luck with your son. I can sympathize with therapists not knowing what they are dealing with, I am having to educate mine on what Autism is and effective ways to teach them, sort of like blind leading the blind cause I am only learning myself. Thanks to all of you I sure have learned alot in a short span of time. F
Guest guest
Jeff got his apraxia diagnosis from a speech pathologist after working with him for 2 months. A Jeffs mom Re: apraxia Hi How do you know if your child has apraxia? DD will sometimes say five or six words but no-one can understand them. How do I know if she knows what she wants to say?
