Guest guest
I will be praying very hard for your flight!!! oiy!! Brave grandma you are! My mom cringes at the thought of sitting alone in church with them...hehe! I will definitely be praying. I will also keep your son in law and family in prayers. Oh how hard that must be. Lord bless him, keep him safe, and bring him home soon! I really do recommend Dr. . He is on the approved list now from Dr. Ponseti and is a good man. Especially with Logan doing so well!! good to hear! I am actually going to talk to our PT about pool therapy for . He simply will not stand. And Dr. P doesn't want him back in casts because we are getting further and further behind developmentally. But his feet are still not fully corrected. they are saying he needs to stand on them, when he screams and screams there is only so many hours a day you can do that. so we will try, thanks to ee's suggestion, pool therapy for him, less invasive, hopefully making him less aggressive and aggitated. It will be low impact to get him inthe right direction and build his leg muscles up at the same time. keep praying! I'm so excited for you. You get your grandbabies up close!! Have fun! If you do decide to come to GR, let me know and maybe we could do lunch...would love to hook up with you! keep in touch, > > > > Hi Sally, > > > > I would recommend him as well. Guest guest
, How many hours is required to wear his shoes? We also have to get Ava to stand up on her feet with and without the shoes. She doesn't mind it though. The water therapy is a great idea. KK > > > > > > Hi Sally, > > > > > > I would recommend him as well. Guest guest
We put in his shoes with a bar on after dinner and then take them off in the morning after breakfast. It comes to around about 16 hours. made special shoes that are similar to the shoes with a bar, but he made them without the bar to encourage the walking and he wears those all day. he's out of shoes maybe an hour a day. I am so glad Ava is having no problem with that. simply won't, we work on it throughout the day and especially at therapy, but he just screams. It's pretty hard, so I am very thankful your's is doing so well. I am excited about the water therapy. I hope they can fit us in, they are shooting for twice a week. Now to figure out what to do with my 3 year old for 2 hours four days a week...hmmm. > > > > > > > > Hi Sally, > > > > > > > > I would recommend him as well. Guest guest
No, I took your idea and ran with it. I at first thought taking him in the pool for open swim, then thought, wow, that water is awfully cold, maybe they have something warmer and then I realized they do pool therapy where i go for physical therapy. She loved the idea! See? God gave you and idea and you acted on it! Thank you so much. I sure hope it helps too. We are in hell right now trying to figure out what to do. It's very scary when the master himself Dr. P says he doesn't know what else to do at this time simply because the casting set him back further and now he just needs to start standing and walking. Keep praying! > > > > > > > > > > Hi Sally, > > > > > > > > > > I would recommend him as well. Dr. is a wonderful man > > and > > > > like > > > > > Dr. Ponseti he will call you himself for issues. Guest guest
Believe me I'm not breaking my arm to pat my own back - I just remembered water helped 's legs strengthen back up and stuff so I threw the idea out on the table with all the others. I will continue to pray for him.......and God willing someday we (at least you) will find out His reasons for putting you and through this. s. No, I took your idea and ran with it. Guest guest
will get there with time. Just think of everything he's been through. I just have to say my neighbor has a little boy (well big boy) 30+ pounds by 1year. He was just about 16 mnths before he started walking. She would try and get him up on his feet and he would cry and hold his feet up wanting no parts of it. Eventually it will happen. Guest guest
My biggest problem is that his feet are not fully corrected. Dr. p and a doc here in town have consulted and agree that putting him back in casts at this time is not the best thing for him. We are so much further behind than what we were before going back into the casts. So is he screaming because he just doesn't like it or because it hurts him terribly? It just makes for very long days over here, because I know stretching and getting him to stand is the best thing for him, but he just screams all day every day when we try it. When we take a break I feel like I am letting him down and yet I don't want him to be so turned off to the idea from me forcing it on him. And I don't want to do more damage, but the doctors agree, he needs to stand on them. So, we stand and he screams. I can't wait for this to be a blur, a blink of the eye. On the plus side, the shoes are pretty cool...pain to put on, but pretty cool. And I am really hoping this water therapy helps him. Somethings got to. But for now, I've just handed my hopes and dreams back to God and told Him to deal with it, because I just can't right now. I've just got to trust Him. thanks for your suppport. It is so encouraging to know that people are concerned and want to encourage. thank you! > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Sally, > > > > > > > > > > > > I would recommend him as well. Guest guest
I am sorry. Nobody like to see there child uncomfortable or in pain. I remember the screams and sleepless night when Ava was initially treated. Not knowing what to expect and being told it was normal only to find out it wasn't. Can you post a pic of the shoes? Maybe you have already and I missed it? Extra prayers will be said for you and . KK > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Sally, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I would recommend him as well.
