Guest guest
Becky is now 3yrs 2 mos old and is starting to complain that her feet hurt. This is normally when she wakes up from a nap or something. It has been going on for almost a month now, and it has been pretty consistant that it is her left foot.... and occasionally her right, she even sometimes is favoring that foot. Last night we had a hard time getting her to wear the brace too (this was really the first time ever she was very persistant about not wanting to wear her night shoes). Any thoughts? I think part of her problem may be that the DBB shoes may be too smal, but I don't think all of it but our follow up Dr. here in LongBeach can't see us untill the 21st! what am I going to do until then? I put a call in to Dr. P and I am waiting to hear back from him..... am I just being to parraniod? LOL (If you remember Becky may possibly need the ATTT this summer it has been a wait and see kind of game) thanks for letting me vent about this a litte and I would love to hear any advice that you all have to offer! and Becky 3yrs. bilateral clubfoot, DBB 16 hrs/day
Guest guest
Hi , Is the left foot the more severe of the two? Since you mention the ATTT I gather that Becky has an issue with relapsing? I don't mean to fuel your paranoia but am wondering if the feet are stiffening up somewhat and 70° is now too much of an angle. Please let us know what Dr. Ponseti says. Dan feet hurt? Guest guest
Dan, The left foot was the foot that Dr. Ponseti said was worse out of the two, and I have had other doctors say that it was the right??? Anyhow, I don't know about the stiffening because we just had a follow up about 1 1/2 mos ago and they said that everything was great (that was with our local dr) he said that he dosen't think that we are going to end up needing the ATTT.... but I am going to wait for Dr. Ponseti's call on that one. Still waiting to hear from Iowa.... and the 21st just seems like too long to go on with her hurting. All of this wait and see is just driving me crazy!!! Guest guest
Perhaps it's related to a growth spurt? If the shoes and bar are the proper size, she could be having " growing pains " . Have you tried tylenol? If that seems to help for 4 hours, then at least know there probably is real pain. I know it's so hard to know sometimes, at least with my drama queen!
