Well it didn't go as planned yesterday when I went for my pre-op testing.

Had to wait an hour to just get registered. Then wait again for the

pre-admittance nurse. I wasn't anticipating everything that was involved to get

pre-admitted. Alot of paperwork and complete thorough history. Then the

Anesthesiology NP came into to speak with me. She was wonderful but by this time

I was

beyond spent and starving. After that appt I was sent across the hall for my

EKG

and Chest x-ray. That went relatively quick in comparison. By this time it

was past lunchtime so we left and will have to return Mon for my labwork. In

the meantime Haley (NP) called and said that the anesthesiologist I had

requested for my surgery was unavailable due to working in Open Heart that day.

Then it's a requirement of the hospital that you have to take the next day off.

I've had to go with another anesthesiologist for my surgery. He is in the same

group as the one I had requested, but I've never used this particular doc.

before. We did talk to a physician who is a friend of ours and he said that

both are good. The plan is now for the anesthesiologist here to call my

anesthesiologist in Cleveland for instructions as well as my mito doc. to learn

more about my condition. Haley was concerned about my shortness of breath and is

going to see if I can get in with the new pulmonologist before my surgery.

The other concern is my heart failure, but I'll be seeing my cardiologist on

Mon. I'm pretty much worn out today, but at least I can rest. Thanks for

thinking about me yesterday.
