Alice,

Thanks so much for your concern. It means a lot to me.

Hi Laurie and ,

I just want to add my prayers and good thoughts to the many good thoughts

and prayers that you have received from this

great group of people!!! It is so nice to see that we are all so close and

caring and are always here

for each other no matter if our lives are quickly racing down a rocky road

:-\ or we are on

cloud 9 and the sky is the limit. :-)

I hope your father is feeling better soon.

Btw , I remember some time ago that your husband was in the hospital

for some kind of

bleeding issues, or something(sorry my mito brain is on full power tonight

:-[ ). How is he doing and

did they ever find out what was going on with him? I hope he is doing

better too!!

Even though we are all sick we still have so many obligations to attend to

on a daily basis. I know I am forever grateful for my husband...who is my

caregiver. Our parents love us, nurture us, guide us, care for us, etc...

when we are young, and then as we mature and they age WE love them,

nurture them, guide them, care for them, etc.... I call it the " Circle of Life "

Hugs,

Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie,

Thank you to you and everyone else for all your loving cares thoughts

and prayers. It means the world to Laurie and I.

My husband had a blood clot in his leg, celullitis in the same leg and

double pneumonia. Two months later he is finally back to work. He has

a genetic blood condition he found out where he clots more than he

should, so he will need to be on blood thinners for the rest of his

life. I heard last night that the actress Principle has a

similar problem. Thanks again for thinking of us and asking how things

were going. I hope things are at least on a even keel at your house. I

know the heat isn't easy for most of us and it has been in the low 90's

all week here in Michigan.

I don't mind you asking at all. He saw a hematologist to begin with and

his PCP is now following him. He doesn't have high anti-cardiolipin

antibodies though, he has a Factor V Leiden gene mutation. Our daughter

has a 50% chance of also having the mutation.

Thanks so much, I was leaning towards seeing a hematologist because

of the necessity of going on a blood thinner, even if it is just

aspirin. I am in the situation where I had one high value, other

normal values, and nobody's really sure if the one high value was

correct or a fluke.

High anticardiolipin antibodies are associated with increased stroke

and heart attack risk, as well as multiple miscarriages (I've had

one, but they're not sure if it was related).

I haven't had a good clotting panel done, but have had previous

problems with not clotting enough and bleeding (strangely enough

since they think I have a high amount of antibodies that make me clot

*too much*), so it's probably high time I see a hematologist.

Take care,

It is not something you want to mess around with. My husband can vouch

for that. Good luck!

HI ,

Sorry that your husband has had so many problems with his health. My Mom

has also had problems

with blood clots. She had one in her lung and one in her leg. They have her

on Coumadin for the rest

of her life, just like her hubby.

Things here are okay. Too hot for me!! High 90's again today. It is taking

so much out of me. Arrrgghhhh!!!

Stay Cool

Hugs,

Ann-Marie

We have had low 90's all week. I think it gets to a certain point and

it really doesn't matter what the thermometer read. Try to stay cool!
