Glad you got such a good report! The last time we were there I got to enjoy him

just like you did. No other folks, just Marie. And he chatted and explained a

lot of things we didn't know and why some things with her feet are the way they

are. He also thoroughly explained the ATTT surgery which we might have to

consider.

I haven't heard anyone else going back to the Markell's so it will be

interesting to see what responses you get to that. I wondered about the quilt,

too. Thanks for that update!

Tori's update with Dr. P

Hi all,

We just got back from seeing Dr Ponseti on Friday. It was a great

visit. He had no other doctors training with him and no nurses or

anything just himself. We got to sit and have a nice long relaxing

visit. He said that Tori's feet looked beautiful and to continue

with the 16 hours a day. He seems to feel that this is a good length

of time and that often the 12 hours is not long enough so as long as

she will tolerate it we should stay at the 16 hours. I was worried

about the way she sits because it is kind of weird with one foot

folded back and one stuck straight out in front. She always sits

this way with out the brace on. I showed him and asked what he

thought about her sitting like that and he said " It is fine that she

sits like that, but I don't think she will be sitting for much

longer " not an exact quote but something like that. It was cute.

She is really a mover and is on the verge of walking. He also had

nice things to say about her personality and that she seems very

intelligent. It is always nice to hear sense I worry about her

having other problems. We did switch from the Shoes to the

Markell shoes and it is going great. She is keeping them on and no

sores or anything. I did notice this morning that her toe had the

imprint, of the circle where the laces goes though, on it and was a

little red but seemed to be fading already before I took her to

daycare. Are we the first to switch from the 's back to

Markell's. One of the main reasons we switched was because of

insurance but Dr. Ponseti said that has gotten most of the

problems with insurance straightened out now. I also asked about the

quilt but it isn't up yet.
