Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the group. I am a pediatric physical therapist who sees a 15 month old child with bilateral club feet secondary to amnionic band syndrome. He has had castings, surgeries, and wears bilateral AFOs. The right foot shows good correction, however the left one still has a flexible deformity. At his orthopedic visit this week the doctor wants to try dennis browne splints worn 24/7 for four months. I am wondering if anyone has had experience with technique used in this old of a child after surgery has already been done. The mom is looking for a good second opinion, and would go almost anywhere. If you have experience with this, how much mobility will he have with these on? He is starting to walk now pushing a weighted toy shopping cart. Thanks for your help with this.
