Anyone ever strip the threads on the dbb?

Somehow I stripped the threads on one of the shoes and bolts on the

dbb. My husband managed to get it back on using vice grips, but

there's no way it's coming off again. We don't have an appointment

until a week from Thursday and Shriner's is too far to just drive

over and pick up a new one. Has this happened to anyone? Can any

orthotist give us a new bolt and nut?

If it is one of the internal threads in the shoe, it would be

possible for an othotic shop to rivet the plate to the shoe with 3

copper rivets. The holes are already in the plate and the holes

would go all the way through the sole of the shoe.

If the stud in the plate which goes through the baqr is stripped, try

taking it to a small local hardware store where someone might be able

to chase the threads with a thread-die of the appropriate size. The

othotic shope should also be able to do the same. Good luck

Thanks! It's the stud that goes through the bar. I'll try the

hardware store first.
