Guest guest
gets nosebleeds from time to time. When he does, it's usually for a few days in a row and then nothing for a while. I have noticed that it is always the same spot of the same nostril too. I just put some Vaseline on his nose for a few days after the first one and that usually keeps it from bleeding anymore. Guest guest
Do you supplement with cod liver oil? I think it thins the blood, so cutting back on it could be something to consider if you do. My youngest was getting nosebleeds quite frequently a year or two ago. I didn't think about the cod liver oil connection at the time, but we have eaten fish only twice in the last 14 months (due to the mercury content) after eating it several times a week for years. Coincidence or not, I don't recall any nosebleeds in the last year. Also, I believe people with Type O blood are supposed to have thinner blood. Don't know if this is true, but the two people I know who had nosebleeds frequently at some point in their lives (my son and my brother) are both Type O. Guest guest
My child only has nosebleed in winter (I assume dry air from heat) and when we upped the clonidine. I have heard that for simple nosebleed, if you put vit. e on a kleenex when bleeding is done and rub in nose it helps to heal sensitive skin (if that is the problem).
