Guest guest
I just had to share this. This may seem minor, but to us it was a great BIG leap in the right direction for my . Today they had fire safety day and normally when they do this throws himself on the floor in a big fit and pulls his ears almost off while rocking. He is terrified of the big firetruck, the firemen in their getup and most of all the big costume of the firedog. He has NEVER EVER went up to any of these type of characters like you see at amusement parks at such. This is his BIGGEST fear. But today was the greatest and a true test of the diet since it was the first time since starting the diet that he has come in contact with one of these characters. He actually went up to the Dalmatian dog and hugged it. I was soooo proud of him and his aide took a picture of it. We were planning on going to Paramount's Kings Island this year, but every time we go we have the hardest getting him in the park and have to deal with him when one of those characters come around. The last time we went JabberJaws snuck up behind him and I thought he was going to die from fright. I'm thinking maybe now he will do good. The weird thing is even though he is so scared of them he is also obsessed with them. He talks about Tommy and Chuckie characters and Kings Island constantly. He loves them, but he's terrified of them. This showed me today he just may be getting over the fear. After years of dealing with this and trying to get him out of it I think it's worked or should I say I think the diet has helped.
