She's been running fevers for about 3 weeks and one of her recent blood cultures came back positive. They should know more tomorrow about whether it's a contaminant growing or if it's a real line infection. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of why she's having so many fevers. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.... Malisa

Guest guest
Hi all, Adrienne is back in the hospital again and has been there since early in the week. She has double pneumonia again, this time worse than when she had it in January. They think she is aspirating so much that it's causing the pneumonia. She also has a line infection on top of the pneumonia. She's on O2 and also on IV antibiotics. They pulled her line and will hopefully place a new one this coming week. She also found out her heart is enlarged which wasn't a problem 2 mths ago, so her doctors are concerned. She sounds pretty sick, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
Adrienne is in our thoughts, and we hope for the best for her. Our family is lucky our two bouts with pneumonia in the last year have been responsive to the first antibiotics tried. The only symptoms I had when I had pneumonia was " feeling generally ill " and a one-hour bout of severe chills (couldn't stay in a chair or standing they were so bad). My daughter only had rapid breathing (60 breaths per minute) - neither of us had coughs at all. My daughter had double pneumonia, with streaks across her lungs showing up on her xrays, but was happy as a clam and giggling (YMMV), so acting lousy isn't necessarily a symptom. So everybody take care of themselves, don't be fooled that it is almost spring (assuming you're in the northern hemisphere)! Take care, RH > > > > > > Hi all, > > > Adrienne is back in the hospital again and has been there since early in > the > > > week.
