---I ahve heard of some people with mito who have an autoimmune

disease. Also, I think lupus can cause muscle problems. I do know

lupus can cause mitochondrial damage...Meaning the mitochondrial

dysfunction is secondary to another disease process or the other way

around. Which came first the chicken or the egg?

She's on an anti-inflamatory for swelling in her joints, but I don't

remember what it's called.

Do you know of any web pages that talk about this? She's wondering

about having a muscle biopsy.

Dawn, your comment " which came first the chicken or the egg " , I think that is in

a way how I feel about this Mito situation, I keep digging and digging and on

each new website I find something different and more confusing. Laurie did give

me a website for Kara and I will be receiving a packett of info in the mail

shortly, so I am in hopes things will become a bit clearer to me. Dolores

This really makes me wonder if my muscle damage is secondary to

something else. It's been 5 months and I'm still waiting for my

second muscle biopsy results.
