Guest guest
I must agree with this opinion. Our doctor thought claritin would be fine b/c it had lactose - not casein. But it only helped a little with allergies and always caused dark circles around Ian's eyes and eventually diarrhea. Other parents of ASD kids had this problem, too, so he switched everyone to redi-tabs and now avoids meds w/lactose. Amazingly, redi-tabs claritin is very effective, I guess because it's not also fighting the reaction to lactose/casein. The best thing, tho, is that respiratory allergies became very infrequent once gfcf and Ian only rarely needs meds. > > > Actually I was told ritalin is gf/cf but does > > > contain lactose. Guest guest
, My son is on the claritin redi tabs as well. I have just started them again because it is very cold here now and he usually is ok in the winter. However, there are some trees with buds and he has been horrible so I thought I would see if it was allergies. the claritin redi tabs are gfcf. I was going to try zyrtec, but it had lactose.
