Guest guest
Hello, my name is Tana. I Joined this group a few months ago and have really enjoyed reading all your comments. I have learned alot. I have a question that I am hoping some of you may be able to help me with. My 8 yr old autistic daughter has been GFCF for about a year now. She also takes several supplements. She has made alot of progress over the last year but there is still room for improvement. I wanted to test for yeast but we couldn't get a stool or urine sample from her so the doctor agreed to prescribe nystatin anyways and see if there were any improvements. After about a month on nystatin my daughters toileting accidents went away. She has been toilet trained for a couple of years now but use to have alot of accidents - several a week. It has been 6 weeks now with out an accident. What a blessing. My daughter also has eczema pretty bad and I think it has cleared up a little with the nystatin. My question is - How long have some of your children stayed on ! nystatin and what are some of th e benefits you saw from it? Our doctor (who is not a DAN doctor) thinks she has been on it long enough but I thought some children stayed on nystatin for long periods of time. Thank you so much for your help, Tana
