Hi All! I have set my son up to see a nurse practicioner at an

Integrated Medicine Center on March 2nd. I am hoping to be able to

get orders for testing I feel my son needs and need advice on what to

ask for. He has been GFCF for 3 1/2 months now so want to have

allergy testing done. He had the " scratch " testing done last Spring

just before being diagnosed PDD-NOS/ADHD. He showed up negative for

milk and wheat but when he was tested in October through Alletess (?)

lab his IgG was 13,174 for caseine (normal is 0-100) and 8,897 for

gluten (Normal, 0-100). However, some classic allergies did show up-

allergies to 3 different early blooming trees, a particular kind of

mold, ragweed and, supposedly, peanuts. I've heard the ELISA is a

good test but how do I ask for it and from what lab? He also needs

nutritional screening (I'm going by Shattock's protocol) and I would

feel better if I knew he was getting the exact nutrients he needs. I

have heard though that blood levels of nutrients are really not a

good

indicator of nutritional need but need to know what is needed at the

cellular level??? I think that will be enough to ask for at the

first visit (want to have him tested for heavy metals sometime in the

future). Also, he is already having problems with his allergy to the

early blooming trees but would not use Nasonex the allergist had

ordered for him. What is SAFE and effective to use? Thanks,

Rosie
