I don't live in your state but I supply all meals for my son and snacks

too. I am even entitled to the free lunch program and I rather pay to

make sure he is getting the right food.

I have dealt with this one extensively as I am in NC. You must provide a

Dr.'s note stating they have an allergy to milk or any other food you do not

want them to have. Please feel free to email me privately at

renee1dat@.... I just got through a 4 month battle with the

daycare system here, so hopefully I can provide you with some suggestions.

I own a daycare. I can tell you that it is true that we are required to

serve milk with every meal. If a child has a special diet they need to get a

doctors note saying they cannot have dairy or gluten and casein. With a

doctors note on file we can exclude it from that particular child's meal.

The doctor does however need to list alternatives to the dairy. So you see

your daycare was telling you the truth. Just give her this or tell her you

will get a doctors note saying she cannot have gluten and casein products,

and make sure she knows what that includes. Good luck.
