Guest guest
Hi, I am a 52 year old female who has recently had a muscle biopsy to confirm Mito. It all started about 6 years ago with occassional double peripheral vision that would go away if I sat down for about 15 minutes. Over the years it has porogressed to include other intermintant, (though at least once a day), symptoms which mostly occur if I am stressed or have " over done " it ... balance problems, " stiff " legged gait, slurred speach. With all the reading I have done lately on several of these websites my problems seem insignificant compared to what many of you are dealing with but I need to know about the progression of this disease. Do most people with adult onset start out slowly as I am? I am seeing a specialist at the University of Michigan and have started taking the " cocktail " . Has anyone had any success with this and if so how long before you could see any difference? any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
