Are you talking about fresh strawberries in the produce dept. at the grocery

store??? Do you know if this is likely to be the case where you pick your

own box from a large bin? Wow, what a surprise! I wonder what else has added

gluten?

This is a practice in the industry,the powder would have to be put on before

the store got it's hands on them, so I don't think it matters if they are

sold in a container or pick your own at the store. Now pick your own in the

fields like we have in NH, would have to be farm by farm. I have been told

to always asks, or go without, again, my son has a severe case of Celiac's

Disease, so I am not sure how this goes for everyone in this groups. Sorry

to bring bad news! Laurie

PS. Our store carries strawberries with no powder, so we are fine here!
