Are you talking about fresh strawberries in the produce dept. at the grocery store??? Do you know if this is likely to be the case where you pick your own box from a large bin? Wow, what a surprise! I wonder what else has added gluten? Cherri

Cherri ******** Cherri, This is a practice in the industry, the powder would have to be put on before the store got it's hands on them, so I don't think it matters if they are sold in a container or pick your own at the store. Now pick your own in the fields like we have in NH, would have to be farm by farm. I have been told to always asks, or go without, again, my son has a severe case of Celiac's Disease, so I am not sure how this goes for everyone in this groups. Sorry to bring bad news! Laurie PS. Our store carries strawberries with no powder, so we are fine here!
