Well, I'm a single mom of three and the diet has had its ups and downs, but we haven't had an infraction in about 6 months. I've drilled it into his brother (6.7 yrs) and sister (3 yrs) that he is not to touch normal food. The only gluten and casein containing product in our house is bread. I allow his brother and sister this, but he knows not to eat it, and no longer cares for it. In fact, if we go somewhere and other people are eating normal food he will announce, " I can't eat that, it will make me sick! " He hates throwing up, so in his head he thinks if he eats it, he will. The best advice I can give you is to ban all gluten and casein products in your house. The other two kids will just have to get over it. As far as school goes, ask them to provide a basket where he can choose his desired snack and pack his lunch. Definately the school is the hardest place to get to comply. The best way around this is to get a doctors written note that no gluten or casein can be eaten do to allergy and possible anaphalactic shock. This usually works. a - Madison WI mom to Alec 6.7, 4.10 (ASD/SID/Resolved apraxia),
