Guest guest
OK guys..My DAN Doctor say they follow a protocol.. one which calls for secretin to be given by IV.. and then again one month after. (not paid for by insurance.. 500 for the initial IV and then I think 200 or 300 for the next) I have to decide what I want to do.. My son is GFCF and FREE of many others things.. and his relatedness has definitely blossomed.. his imitation and language is coming along.. With such a success with the diet, this whole digestive food breakdown thing may be the " piece " for my son.. I would like to have some input on your results with secretin. My son is PDD 2.9 yo I am a bit weary with the mixed reviews

Guest guest
I've been meaning to check into secretin for a while. I did some research when the story first broke years ago. I was wondering...is it still difficult to find? Will be interesting to see what is posted re infusion vs. oral. You are saying oral can be given at home? Is it more or less potent, etc??? Guest guest
, What type of secretin did you try. My son has had 3 injections so far. We saw more of a positive response with each injection. He improved in all areas, but the greatest improvement was in speech. He was using words before and had a large vocabulary, but was not putting many words together. We have seen a large increase in 3 and 4 word phrases and with the 3rd injection came a few sentences. He also has a increase in repeating words or phrases. He also seems to be able to answer questions better and is trying to communicate more. We've decided to try the oral secretin drops instead of a 4th injection. It was getting harder and harder to get him to the doctor's office and it is a overnight trip for us. I was wondering if anyone else has used the oral drops and if it was successful.
