Guest guest
I don't know if this helps, but ... My son always had normal bowel movements even after starting the diet. However, each time there was an infraction he became constipated. Furthermore, the amount of the food consumed in the infraction seemed to parallel the constipation problem. For example, the worst infraction ocurred when his school gave him a slice of pizza. He was constipated for 5 days. When suppositories didn't work I had go the route of the rubber glove. My poor baby was passing cement. I've never seen anything like it. Sorry for the visual image, but prior to the diet infractions he had never been constipated. From what I've read, the imbalance in the yeast and the bacteria is different for everyone. This explains why not all children follow the same pattern with respect to bm's. Guest guest
-- My son has always had a tendency to be constipated. We started the diet about 1 month ago. He had a cookie infraction about 3 days ago, got a bout of constipation and some urine accidents. This am, he had a bowel accident, didnt make it to the bathroom. His stomach was flatter than ever (always looks pouchy). It appears that put back on the diet the constipation relieved big time. I think theres a connection. Guest guest
Just another comment on the constipation subject - my daughter has had much more problem with constipation after starting the diet. I guess that it can work either way. Don't a lot of kids have loose stools before the diet, and they firm up afterwards? Would it make sense that for some kids they just go too much in the opposite direction? Kathy
Guest guest
Thea We had the ethiopian belly as well. Probably was backed up until this diet too. So now he goes every other day , sometime every day, instead of once a week. kelly
