Guest guest
Judy, My son has had both extremes the chronic runs, and the persistent constipation.....But the " colored " poop for him is usually a reaction to something he totally cannot digest (for him chocolate, especially...also carrots and carob.) Now when I see colored poop I think colored food and try a 3 or 4 week elimination of suspects and reintroduction to test for the reaction. Are they using something for a treat at school that might be suspect?? HTH @ ]]) @ ]]) aka: Toushoes >My 5 year old has been GFCF since Jan 21st of this year. His BM's were formed and " normal " and recently they have changed. They are like wet, red clay mud (to include the color). If he has had anything different I don't know what it would be. The doctor tested for allergies and he wasn't allergic to any foods like soy, corn or eggs, so I don't think that could be it. I send his snacks to school (and I hope that they are actually giving them to him), but we have had some trouble with one of the teacher's and I don't know if she would give him something or not. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what it could be. I keep a food diary of everything he eats, and can't find a clue, it's pretty much the same stuff, just different days. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? > >Thanks for your responses in advance, >Judy > > >
Guest guest
My children have a problem w/ food coloring. Espiciallly in drinks or fruit rollups. My son gets diarhea and my daughter gets constipation from things they eat. Often the same thing (which makes it interesting) in Ohio toushoes wrote: > Judy, My son has had both extremes the chronic runs, and the persistent > constipation.....But the " colored " poop for him is usually a reaction to > something he totally cannot digest (for him chocolate, especially...also > carrots and carob.)
