Re: Injectible Cocktail Update + Transdermal Cream/Patch Question

My understanding is that medications on a patch is designed to enter

the bloodstream through the skin, and that creams generally aren't

assumed to act systemically. I'd be interested to see some links

about using creams for systemic medications. Unfortunately, I'd bet

the patch form would be more expensive than the cream.

Also, B-12 is very common in sublingual form - if you could get that

(generally pharmacies can formulate the sublingual lozenges for B-12,

or just get it OTC), you would avoid injections altogether.

Take care,

Hi Hazelpone,

So glad that things are falling into place for you. I knew it was going to

be too many injections for a person to take and maintain.

If you must take the Vit. B's daily then I would maybe consider using a

liquid form or the under the tongue type. For the rest, I would opt for the

patch over the cream. The only cream formula's that I have ever heard about

or have seen are for progesterone.

I use a patch for managing my pain. I love it. I used to use oral meds, but

they messed up my GI tract and also made me more constipated than normal. I

have had nothing but good luck with patches.

I hope you are able to make the correct choice for your body and I wish you

luck.

Just my 2 cents worth

Hugs,

Ann-Marie

I would suggest trying one match before determining if this will work

for you. I am unable to use the patches because of the adhesive. I

hope you don't have this problem.
