Guest guest
I've heard green tea can increase blood pressure, but it seems studies have shown the opposite: http://vanderbiltowc.wellsource.com/dh/content.asp?ID=1688 so I'd check with my doctor before having 4 cups per day. I'd probably have a problem with that much caffiene, and my blood pressure tends to be low so I wouldn't want to lower it... There also was a mention of lowering blood sugar: http://64.233.161.104/search? q=cache:kNno1y4xLaUJ:www.lef.org/featured-articles/greent.html+% 22green+tea%22+%22blood+pressure%22&hl=en I have hypoglycemia, so again people like me should watch out for it, and if anyone is on diabetes medication, keep a check on your sugars when drinking it. I'm not a medical doctor, but I find it is very interesting that there's so much info about " good-for-you foods " having pharmaceutical properties. Avocado on the other hand is probably good for everything http://www.avocadosource.com/WAC2/WAC2_p025.htm Since I'm on an Atkins-type diet, I'm going to have to buy my first avocado and make some fresh guacamole! Take care, RH > I just read some interesting articles on research in the current issue > of " Eating Well " .
