Guest guest
I haven't used that but with the sling, I'd set Evy in almost like he was in one of those hamock chairs = sitting reclined back in the sling but his feet hanging out the front edge. He loved it. There's enough pocket to hold them securely around their rump and back side. s. Re: Baby Borjn carrier We did not use our Baby Bjorn carrier when was in casts. Probably b/c we didn't have one yet. I did use it while she was in her brace 23/7. The Baby Bjorn carrier is the only one that I know of that you can use while the baby is in the brace. There may be one out there but I'm not sure. was always very comfortable in the front carrier even with her brace on. Guest guest
How old was Evy when you did this? Did you have to be careful about things like bending over to make sure he didn't fall out? I'm just trying to figure out a few of these things before my new little one makes her appearance. > I haven't used that but with the sling, I'd set Evy in almost like he > was in one of those hamock chairs = sitting reclined back in the sling > but his feet hanging out the front edge. Guest guest
Well I still use it from time to time although now that he can both sit up and walk not as often - I wouldn't just bend over though, I'd squat down to pick something up. I mean sure, there was that small risk of him falling, but I never had any close calls, the pouch part of the sling was deep and wide so it contoured around him really well.. I think I'll try to find them on line so I can refer you to a picture of what I " m talking about or oh hey, I forgot I got a camera for christmas, maybe I can also manage to send a picture of him in it. This website has lots of photos of people using slings - can give you ideas - I have two styles, one is adjustable - the type you see with a long tail of fabric hanging down. The other is just a loop of fabric, non adjustable, sewn with a curve to it so there's a 'pocket " the baby sits in. I liked it best. Those adjustable types you can make so easy, I made one with a needed and thread at the Mc House when we were staying there. Get about 1 1/2 yards of light fabric and two big rings. That's it. However, I've sewn a few of the other type too. http://store.peppermint.com/baby-slings-by-name.html The Selendang Sarona Indonesia Baby sling, and the New Native r look like my non-adjustable I love so much.
