Guest guest
What wonderful news. I am truly happy for you and your family! dm Jeff Gleacher gleache@...> wrote: Today our orthopedist confirmed what our pediatrician suspected. does not have clubfeet after all. This is the first time he has ever seen the ultrasound diagnosis to be wrong. We had three ultrasounds including the neo-natal specialist. Her feet are just held in an awkward position. He is recommending the Denis Browne bar for two hours twice a day just to return the feet to their natural position. Her feet do not show a crease on the sole. They also will dorisflex 20degrees past flat, indicating their is no shortness of the achilles.

Guest guest
What great news! My daughter (next one up from my clubfoot baby) was born with what looked so much like a clubfoot ... but it was flexible. It is sometimes referred to as a " positional " clubfoot although it isnt really a clubfoot at all. Anyway, she is 3.5 now and her foot is perfect! In fact, the " clubbing " went away completely on its own in a few months and all she was left with was metatarsus adductus (a separate " defect " where the front of the feet turn in). Now even that is gone after wearing reverse last shoes for a couple months :-) You will be looking back in a few months thinking " did her feet REALLY look like that?? " Angel does not have clubfeet Today our orthopedist confirmed what our pediatrician suspected. does not have clubfeet after all. Guest guest
Hello Jeff, How wonderful for you and the family. It was great to jump on here this morning and see your post. I have been praying that everything would be alright. How long will she have to use the DBB (until what age)? When will she start using DBB?
