Guest guest
Incidentally, for those of you with kids who screened negative on the initial celiac test, but who also had high IgG reponses: There's a new report circulating about screening for CD. Either the medicos made a mistake and should have recognized high IgG as an alert for possible CD, or there's another form of CD that only shows a positive IgG. In any event, it's the biopsy that truly confirms or denies the presence of CD. For you newbies, this means that if you want your child tested for CD, do it before starting the diet. Otherwise, you'll have to put your child back on gluten for several weeks before the biopsy can be done. (For some of us, that means weeks of sheer hell and not worth it.) > You can't " develop " celiac. It's not really a " disease " but a disorder.
