Hi, It has been a long time since I posted here. I needed a break

for a time and then I was unable to connect due to a blocker we put

on the computer.

I hope that some of you will remember me. My name is Vivian and

they first thought that I had MS and then discovered that I had MS

and mitochondrial myopathy. (Dr. Peltier is my physician in

Milwaukee). My son was seen in Cleveland; and although we did not

get the muscle biopsy, (he improved significantly on the cocktail);

the doctors think he also has mito.

He has been well for sometime; but now has developed a rash that we

have taken him to three doctors; (2 derms) tried six different

lotions and creams and it is still getting worse. At first they

said ezema, then psoriasis then pityria rosea, but now they aren't

even sure about that. My peditrician called Cohen and asked him if

he has ever heard of anything like this, but he said that he had not.

It does not itch, but is uncomfortable, and is creeping onto his

face and hands (which is going to make school difficult). I am

beginning to worry about a systemic infection; considering that the

skin is the largest organ and it is about covering it.

Has anyone had anything remotely like this; does anyone have any

ideas?

I would be so grateful for any input.

Vivian
