Guest guest
hello. I would like to introduce myself. I have been on this list for awhile and finally have the strength to write. What a great group! I have learned so much. I am , mom to Rex 4yrs. Rex has been gfcf since summer 1999. We try to keep totally gfcf (and everything else), dad still has a difficult time with pizza and beer cravings. I make him eat those out and wash up well. Rex has improved so much on the diet. With verbalization, eye contact, calmness, focus, stays asleep, more agreeable. We see regressions with dad's pizza and when kids come around with cracker crumbs or if we linger in Target too long due to the popcorn and perfume smells. Rex use to have a loose stool/diarrhea problem. Daily epson salt baths really fixed that. Now tends to poop only every 3 days. Lost alot of weight at first, seems to be stable now. Rex use to never touch meat. He would find even the smallest crumb that I would sneak in and spit it out. Then he progressed to sucking on it and spitting it out. Recently I got a meat grinder and he eats well the organic meats that I grind up. Sorry about rambling. I guess that I have saved up too much. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I want to scream and flap and pull my hair. We live in a remote rural area and do not know many people. I am so thankful for this list. I know you are lifesavers. Rex was sickly as an infant, no formula would stay down. Lots of ear infections and allergies. By 11 months the tonsils came out. That relieved alot of mucus and vomiting. Did ok sort of with some foods. Then around 2 years everything fell apart. We always ate healthy-- organic , vegetarian foods and a big garden. I read the Special Foods.com diet and have used that and strict elimination, rotation of unusual foods with Rex. This brought him around. Phenols and anything with sulphur or petroleum are a big problem. They send Rex into regression of angry babbling, flapping, banging, belly aches, and diarrhea. I have never let my guard down. I want the nice , cuddly, beautiful child that I am now knowing to stay around, and I never want to see the 'evil monsters' reappear. What we have tried with Rex is mostly diet related. Since there has always been such a high intolerance to everything. We did: Organic Acid Urine, Comprehensive Digest. Stool, copper/zinc ratio, Probiotics, epson salts, tried colloidal silver ( too much die off for him still) Interested in : Heavy metal/mercury (mom and dad have lots of amalgam. fillings and root canals), Build up the gut tolerance, Ridding bacteria, fungus, yeast, and growing those special roots that he eats. Thank you so much, dear listmates, for reading this and helping me in anyway. Blessings,
