Guest guest
Besides all the cross-contamination, soy & corn concerns, McD's fries are a no-no on the feingold list because of the additive THBQ, a petroleum based anti-foaming agent, which is also on 's list of additives to avoid. My child ate them without any apparent problems early in the diet, but after a break of several weeks he reacted to them in a blithering, confused sort of way - not like a casein or gluten infringement. -- In GFCFKids@y..., " Weaver " wrote: > > My next question is about Mc 's fries... Our local store says they don't cross contaminate (and I believe them)...however, there must be soy or corn in the fries, or oil. Gillian is ok with pure potatoes but, as a treat (it has been several weeks, 3 or 4) we got fries from Mcs. She has been " zoney " ever since. Can anyone confirm for me? She's had them before with no probs. That was before we started rotation and eliminated soy and corn and, and, and.. I can't think of anything else it might be. Guest guest
, Is there a reason to use red instead of russet potatoes? I just bought russet, but haven't tried the fried yet. My son is also a McD's junkie. Guess we'll be cutting those out too. But I need a sub. Thanks, M.
Guest guest
Mcs will give you empty wrappers, box, cup, etc. and you can substitute safe food in them and hopefully your little one will not catch on. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
