Question from France

Hello,

My son who is pdd-nos, 7 years old, has been on a GFCF diet for about

one and a half year with good results.

I used to order Kirkmans's Super new thera and calcium supplement on

the web, but the French customs blocked the last order and I'm unable

to do that know.

We have decided that it was a good opportunity to stop the mega B

vitamins for a while and see how he reacts.

But I would like to keep complementing him with Calcium, because from

his food he does not get much actually. But I heard different

versions from French doctors (who do not know much on the subject it

seems) some say Calcium has to be taken with vitamin D, and some that

it's not good to supplement with vitamin D because he could do

vitamin D overdose.

I saw in a store in France an American supplement from Nature's plus

which is this composition :

Cal/Mag 333/125 mg.

Amino Acid Chelate

One Protein Coated Tablet Contains,

Elemental Calcium...333 mg. (amino acid chelate*/complex)

Elemental Magnesium...125 mg. (amino acid chelate*/complex)

*Manufactured with the Biotron Process of Amino Acid Chelation.

Yeast Free • Vegetarian • Sugar and Starch Free

Do you know if this would be good for a child of 7 years to take,

even without vitamin D supplement ?

Thanks for your answer
