Guest guest
, I totally understand what you are saying about military Dr.'s. My husband is military and we refuse to get healthcare at a military facility. Of coarse he has to but the rest of us don't, and thank God I had an unavailability statement when my daughter was born- so we had her in the hospital of my choice. I'm sorry you had to go through this. Guest guest
---------- Don't you all discuss with your dr what or how you want your birth to be? Elaine, I did try to explain this in a previous post. When I was pregnant (>10 years ago), I was in the military healthcare system. I did not have an assigned doctor/midwife, etc. I saw whoever was in the office on the day of my visits. I did make a point to discuss that I wanted a natural delivery, no drugs, ect. with EVERY doctor I saw. I believe that they saw me as a 19-20 yr old who didn't know what was best and discounted my wishes. It's kind of hard to fight them off when you have been in labor for over 24 hours, the doc is picking a fight with you and your terribly unsupportive/abusive husband is yelling at you, calling you a dumba**, and tells the doctor to do it anyway...AGAINST your wishes and they listen to him because he's a man and he's military. So, to answer your question...yes, for 9 months I made it a point to vocalize my wishes, but it all came down to who had the power in the end. Guest guest
They sometimes will give pit afterwards if your uterus isn't contracting right and you are bleeding to much. They gave that to me after one of my births as I was hemorrhaging. And how can they give that to you without your permission. Don't you all discuss with your dr what or how you want your birth to be? I know, I had it to with one of mine. But I agreed to it. I was induced with her. Took two days and she is very bright. I am sorry. I don't mean to sound mean or trying to start a fight! I guess though in a way, I am like that too as I didn't thoroughly research the vac either. By the way, I do have sorta a hypnotically question. It is reality though here where I live with some families. There has been an outbreak of meningitis. No one real close to me but I do know the families involved. One family has lost 2 sons in a months time. Another two cousins were hospitalized and nearly died but survived. They had been all given antibodies the first time. Now the tests have all come back and it is the Y strain of bacterial meningitis. If the third boys test come back with the same strain they want to vaccinate all the children in the school. It is a church school with around 30 children. They basically go to the same church too. Would you not vaccinate if faced with this. If You get this there is only hours before death. On boy walked to the car and died on the way to the ER. The other boy died at the hospital and the other two who survived were only minutes away from death. It starts out with the flu symptoms. Very scary as the flu has been rampant around here. Just curious! ElaineF
