Guest guest
I think that pitocin was discussed here before. My dtr is autistic and I did not receive pit at all with her. She did however receive the hep B but so did the two born after her who are NT. That is the thing about autism. There are so many things that could have caused it possibly but there is always someone who contradicts. Drives me crazy! elainef .. I recieved > VERY high dose of this drug during childbirth. Site said pitocin > linked to autism.

Guest guest
I was in a military hospital and ended up with a midwife (thankfully), but started with a doc. I was having problems and they hooked up an iv as a " precaution " , even though I asserted I wanted to have a natural birth. My mom was my lookout to be sure nothing was given to me. A doctor came in with the nurse and was raising his voice and saying I had to have this. Then, the pitocin was administered. I was young (just turned 20), and not very assertive. My ex was not supportive (he was military and would jump through any hoop put in front of him...he was upset that I was challenging a mil. doc). It was not a good scene. Peace,
Guest guest
I'm not asking this in a snotty way or anything, but I was wondering how they force you to take pitocin? I'm curious becuz when I do have my next child I would want to be prepared for whatever. My son was born 100% natural. I wasn't put on iv and they only had the fetal monitor on me the first 20 min in hospital. But I did have midwife who birthed. Maybe that's the difference. Just curious Abi > Okay...I am headed to the site...I was induced with high levels of Pitocin > (against my wishes...wanted 100% natural...how terribly scary. > > > Peace, > , 30 (FMS/AS/ADD)
Guest guest
For any of you who get " Public Interest " on National Public Radio from WAMU in Washington, DC, there is a show on Monday, February 26, 2001, on the trend and problems with inducing labor. If you can't get it on radio you can listen live at www.wamu.org or listen to the archives after the show. I'd love for someone who received pitocin to call in. I delivered with no drugs at all (though they did break my water) and so I can't say that this had anything to do with our situation, but wanted any of you with concerns to be able to call in with your questions.
