SO... Olivia saw Dr. Mosca last week as most of you know.. he

concurred with Dr. Schmale that she will probably need some surgery.

He said her ankle was still very tight. She has not been keeping

her left foot in her shoe - it seems to be getting worse - we put it

on at night, go in and check on her, and it is off again.

So we called Dr. Schmale who we weren't supposed to see for another

month. We don't get to talk to him, just his nurse. I explained the

problem - and advised this is NOT an orthotic problem, it's

correction problem. I wanted to see Schmale sooner to maybe get the

ball rolling on the surgery if that's what she needs. Dr. Schmales

response was, " It must be that her feet aren't big enough for the

shoes yet. Bring her in for another set of casts. Dr. Mosca says her

correction is just fine. "

WHAT?!?!?! 1) THat's not really what Dr. Mosca said. He said three

out of four parts of her correction were good. The heel was still

tight. 2) She's been in the darn shoes for the last 6 months fairly

successfully. She's even outgrown a pair. Her feet are NOT too

small to fit in the shoes.

I'm so frustrated at this point. I told this all to the nurse - but

it's hard relaying messages back and forth. She said she would try

to get us in this week to see him. I just can't believe he said

that- as if she was 4 months old and just starting the shoes again.

Sorry for being so long winded. It just made me want to scream!!! :)
