Guest guest
Please keep in mind that the heel is not really formed when the baby first starts wearing the shoes. I was not aware of this info when my daughter started wearing her dbb. I must've put it back on a dozen times a day. Ugh. After awhile (as the heel develops), they came off less and less. One day I realized that I hadn't had to fix them for the whole day and did a little jig. The shoe actually helps with the formation of the heel. My daughter's foot was corrected beautifully, so it wasn't because the correction was bad or she was having a relapse... AS far as shoe size goes, I think Dr. Ponseti actually has children skip sizes which I wish I had known earlier since we paid for every single size out of our pocket. My daughter has sensory integration issues, so when her toe got close to the end of the shoe, she couldn't tolerate it, so not all children can wear the shoes until the toe is over the end half an inch! Hope this helps! Joanne W. mom to Zoe, 3-25-01, right clubfoot PS If anyone is paying out of pocket and needs a good source for shoes, please contact me. Our shoestore sells them for $60 and will ship them.
