Guest guest
If you don’t have problems with sugar – Gatorade (or even Pedialite) is excellent because it helps with the need for electrolytes. Please get well soon and remember, because of the Mito, you need more rest than most people. Alice _____ My first real sickness in years (fever, cough, even more aches than usual) and of course I can't think clearly. (I signed on to look for suggestions on what to take - I can't recall the conversations on best hydrating liquids - I thought someone mentioned something better than gatorade.) Guest guest
When I had a spell like this recently I mixed pedialyte and small amounts of 7-up as gatorade and I don't agree. For my cough my Grandson got me a concentrated cough mist called Zicam, it's an over the counter oral cough suppresant cough spray at Wal-mart in Topeka, KS it cost $6.95 plus tax, for a 0.78 fl oz container. When I would I start to cough usually just one spray and it would stop my coughing. I don't know if this would be helpful to you or not, you might check with your pharmacist or your doctor. Hope this will be of some assistance to you and hope you will soon be feeling much better. Helpful suggestions would be appreciated. All the coughing is wearing me out, but I hate taking prescription drugs. Guest guest
I use Emergen-C, which is a powder with 1,000 mg of Vitamin C, electrolytes, and different formulas - you add it to water or juice. For example, there is a high vitamin B formula and a high potassium formula. You can get it at health food stores, or even some grocery stores. I had a bad cold last year, and it turned out to be pneumonia. The only symptom that made me go to the doctor was severe chills. You might want to go to a doctor just in case if you haven't already. Take care, RH > > My first real sickness in years (fever, cough, even more aches than > usual) and of course I can't think clearly. Guest guest
No better. I think it's a stubborn flu; I've heard it hangs on for about a week. M > Maggie, > how are you feeling? > Any better...worried me... > > > >
