Guest guest
Just fyi, to those interested, a story about use of the Ponseti method in Michigan. Encouraging to hear of the spreading use. Frustratingly, there are still areas of the country, even very populous ones, in which it is not readily available. (Note, though, the cited 75% success rate .. not the expected 90+%.) http://www.mlive.com/news/grpress/index.ssf?/base/news- 19/1104767123280070.xml and Claire 6/29/00 left cf
Guest guest
Just wanted to share something they left out of the article. Dr. is actually working on getting on the Ponseti approved list. He has submitted 2 cases so far and has one more to go. Dr. Ponseti is also referring patients to see him. We will be going there for our check ups as he saw 's feet before heading to Iowa the second time. This doctor lives right across the street from us...how wonderful is that? I wrote the journalist and shared our story letting her know if she wants more info on Dr. Ponseti we've got it and pictures too. I also shared info about this support group as this has saved my life as well! It was hard reading the story as it went into a family that had had the surgery first like we did. Even harder was seeing the picture of feet on the front page that they called " severe " looking back at my son's pictures, those feet were nothing! Thank God we found Dr. Ponseti. atypical bl cf 10-09-03 mitchells 23/7 > > Just fyi, to those interested, > > a story about use of the Ponseti method in Michigan. Guest guest
It's a habit from when I was first doing research on clubfoot when my daughter was born. =) Every now and then, I check for the latest news stories and medical journal articles on clubfoot. I just do a search on Google's 'News' (not a web search) for Ponseti or clubfoot, and every now and then a story will pop up. (Since it's news, they don't always last long.) For medical journal stories, I use Medscape and PubMed. and Claire > > > > Just fyi, to those interested, > > > > a story about use of the Ponseti method in Michigan.
