Red potato vs Russet

I am not , but I do know that there is a difference in frying between

the red and the russet. I think Russet is more of a baked or mashed potato

and red/white are better for frying and also good cooked whole. My

husband's beef is that when I used russets to fry hash browns, they are more

starchy than reds are.
